EarlyBird

-UX Writing-

Making it easy to invest in your child’s future.

EarlyBird App

EarlyBird reimagined how families invest in a child’s future. The app didn’t just offer financial tools; it brought emotion into the process. When grandparents or loved ones sent money, they could also attach a video message. We wanted EarlyBird to feel different from the start and stand out by being warm, human, and deeply personal.

The Challenge

Many users—especially grandparents, aunts, and uncles—weren’t familiar with investing apps. So the experience needed to feel simple, safe, and meaningful.

We had to:

  • Build trust from the first tap

  • Make saving feel like a gift, and

  • Help people feel confident, even if they weren’t tech-savvy

The emotional layer of the app—those heartfelt video messages—was key. My job was to make sure every word supported that feeling.

The Copy

I wrote clear, friendly copy that spoke directly to users' hearts. The voice was calm, kind, and encouraging. Every message aimed to make users feel like they were doing something good for someone they love. Instead of focusing on numbers, we focused on moments, memories, and meaning.
