KeyBank introduced Zelle® as a free, fast, and secure way for clients to send and receive money through online and mobile banking. My task was to position Zelle as a trustworthy tool and ensure users understood how to use it with confidence.

The Challenge

Clients were unfamiliar with Zelle and often skeptical of peer-to-peer payment platforms. The challenge was twofold: build trust in the service and communicate its convenience, security, and speed—all while adhering to KeyBank’s tone and accessibility standards.

The Copy

I created clear, conversational copy that demystified Zelle’s functionality. Through onboarding screens, tooltips, and in-app messaging, I explained how users could send money to people they know using just an email address or mobile number—without the need to download a separate app.
